Waimakariri District Council has announced its summer music programme - Good Street Beats.
Now that the Good Street stage is set, we need performers from across different music genres to perform one hour lunchtime concerts on Thursday’s and Saturday’s throughout summer. In return Council will provide a minimum contribution of $130 + GST per act. Performers can also busk on the day – put a hat out – to supplement their income.
Council’s Senior Advisor, Business and Centres Vanessa Thompson says performers will need to provide their own equipment including PA, but power is available at the site. All performers are welcome to apply via the form on the Council website.
“We would love to hear from any bands, solo acts, students, established musicians, and other community-minded performers who might want to showcase their talent and unique sound over summer to our community.
“Good Street is looking and feeling fantastic, its now home to a boutique little performance space that would be further enhanced by some cool tunes and performances on the stage. All of the information is available on our website and all acts will be considered so please get in touch.”
