Come down, enjoy the sun and the sounds during lunchtime concerts on Thursday and Saturday.

POSTPONED to Friday 19 January | 12pm - 1pm | Bex and Mike Bex and Mike are colleagues who share a love of music from many genres across generations. Bex is a singer-songwriter with a bluesy style whilst Mike is a solid guitarist who honed his skills in the forests and riverbeds of the South Island. Join us for a mix of sing-along classics and some new or twisted versions of the songs you’ve heard before. |
Saturday 20 January | 12pm - 1pm | Manu Francois Caribbean born multi-instrumentalist Manu Francois brings you a vibrant set of up beat and delightful music played on his guitar, both covers and original compositions to entertain the listening ear. Come and enjoy the soulful and unique sounds of Manu Francois. |
Thursday 25 January | 12pm - 1pm | The Lumberjack / Brent Roberts After learning and playing for a number of years on the electric guitar, Brent has been surprised to find his greatest passion is for fingerstyle classical acoustic music. He has played around the streets and markets of North Canterbury and Nelson regions. Along with the addition of the harmonica, his musical stylings have been well received in al fresco dining and cafe areas. |
Saturday 27 January | 12pm - 1pm | The Relics Join local band The Relics as they perform their own interpretation of a range of covers. The Relics first debuted at 'Down The River' a local music event in Kaiapoi, although band members have decades of music experience between them. Featuring multi-skilled musicians whose talents extend from the keyboard, bass, and guitar through to the harmonica and whistle, The Relics are sure to entertain you with their energetic vibe. |
Thursday 1 February | 12.30pm - 1pm | Taylor Ruddle Taylor Ruddle is an award-nominated stand up comedian based in Christchurch. He's toured up and down the country and he's bringing his comedy stylings to the streets of Rangiora this summer with Good Street Beats! Taylor performs a series of whimsical stories of mishap and misadventure, peppered throughout with wordplay, puns and goofs all delivered in his signature chill and cheeky style. All of the content will be clean so it's safe to bring the little ones, but it'll be clever and thought provoking so the parents can have a laugh too! Keen listeners of Compass FM may recognize Taylor's voice from the odd Saturday when he's been on the air." |
Saturday 3 February | 12pm - 1pm | Christchurch City Chorus Christchurch City Chorus sing A Cappella. Classics to pop, show tunes to cabaret. Let their quartets 'Euphoria' and 'Symptomatic' entertain you for an hour of harmonies of popular tunes. He has performed in both the high school battle of the bands and smokefree rock quest, and thoroughly enjoyed those experiences. Join Leo as he entertains you with classical guitar over your lunch break. |

Thursday 22 February | 12.30pm - 1pm | Lorena Cardenas Lorena is a singer/songwriter from Barcelona based in Christchurch, performing acoustic pop/rock/folk music. Her influences span from Spanish and latin folk music, blues, rock and indie. She finds inspiration for her writing from nature and spending time in the wilderness. @lorenamusicaoficial |
Saturday 24 February | 12pm - 1pm | The Local Vocals Choir The Local Vocals are a North Canterbury based adults choir. These singers come from a range of musical backgrounds, some experienced musicians and others with their own fresh perspectives. They bring a new take on some great contemporary songs with some Te Reo Maori, kiwi classics and absolute sing-alongs that will have everyone tapping their feet and joining in the fun. This is a choir you don't want to miss! They're always keen to have more members so if you love singing come and meet them and see if it's something you'd like to do, no experience required! |
