Kia ora! Get your walking shoes ready and join us for a special event as part of the 2025 Walking Festival! On Tuesday, 15 April 2025, we’ll be gathering at Silverstream Reserve in Clarkville for a relaxed, beginner friendly walk that’s perfect for all ages and stages and best of all, it’s free!

This easy grade 3 kilometre walk meanders along the picturesque, spring fed Silverstream waterway. Guided by the knowledgeable Waimakariri District Council Rangers and volunteers, you’ll have the chance to learn about the unique natural features of this beautiful reserve and the work being done to protect and care for it.

• Postponement Date: 22 April 2025 (if the weather misbehaves)
• Location: Silverstream Reserve car park, 147 South Eyre Rd, Clarkville
• Fitness Level: Beginner friendly
• Terrain: Easy, flat, pram and dog friendly
• Distance: 3km
• Extras: Your Fur babies on leads are welcome! The track is also suitable for buggies, so all the children can come along for the adventure.

This event is all about enjoying the great outdoors, connecting with others, and celebrating the simple joy of walking. Families are encouraged to join in, but please remember that children must be always supervised by an adult.
