Parks Week runs from 2-10 March this year and is all about spending time in our parks and open spaces and experiencing the positive influence getting outside can have on our wellbeing.
We've got loads of activities to get your family out in nature this Parks Week.
Bug Rounds:
Bug rounds are wooden discs placed onto bare soil (look for a pink dot to be able to spot them). Invertebrates love to hide underneath - lift gently and see what creepy crawly's are living beneath. Use our bug rounds to help complete your invertebrate scavenger hunt.

Bugs in Your Backyard - Exhibition
Check out the exhibition pod which highlights the diverse insects found within the Selwyn, Waimakariri, and Hurunui districts. It's been a fascinating journey, drawing from our extensive invertebrate collection to bring this exhibition to life.
