Join us Saturday 27 January at 12pm in the Council carpark for a free car seat fitting check by qualified technicians.
It’s great when car seats are installed correctly. The most protection a child car seat can offer is when it’s installed the way the manufacturer intended it to be.
We have arranged for two qualified child car seat technicians to be available to help you in the Council carpark (Rangiora Service Centre), ready to help people to make sure they have their car seat fitted the best way it can be.
If you have any doubts about how you have your child car seat fitted, this is your chance to get a qualified technician to check that you’ve got it right. You might even be a grandparent who occasionally uses a car seat, and wonders if it’s fitted properly.
Legally all children under seven must use an approved child restraint appropriate for their age and size. Children aged seven must be secured in a restraint if one is available in the vehicle. And it’s just a good idea to keep your children as safe as they can be.
No need to book, just turn up in the Council carpark at the right time. There may be a wait, depending in demand, but our technicians will work to make sure they can help you as soon as possible.
If you have any questions on this contact the Pete Daly, the Council’s Road Safety Coordinator, on 0272182422.
