Our Community Outcomes have been developed to ensure Council understands what is important to our communities when making decisions which impact them.
Community Outcomes are the outcomes Council aims to achieve in order to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of our District and residents, in the present and for the future. They are about improving the well-being of our District and residents over time and in a sustainable manner.
Wellbeing is seen as being made up of four interrelated aspects:
- Social
- Environmental
- Economic
- Cultural
The Community Outcomes directly relate to these and are the measure of how effectively we are achieving these four wellbeings.
The Community Outcomes are included in Council’s Long Term Plan.
Our Long-Term Plan sets out our service priorities, work programmes and resource requirements such as expenditure and funding for a 10-year period.
That’s why we would love to hear from you.
It’s really important to us that everyone has a chance to have their say and to help shape the Community Outcomes for the Waimakariri District.
