Proposed District Plan Hearings

Waimakariri District Council publicly notified its Proposed District Plan on Saturday 18 September 2021. The Council will hold public hearings on the submissions received.

To assist submitters in preparing for the hearing streams the below table sets out a summary of submitters' hearing points and the hearing streams in which they may be located.

Please note that this summary is based on an assessment at the beginning of the hearings process and is likely to change as hearings progress and in response to any directions from the panel. Submitters can stay informed of the hearing progression through the Council’s website and ePlan newsfeed.

The hearings have been ongoing since May 2023 and are currently still continuing. Stay up to date on the topics covered in each hearing and when the hearings were held in the table below.
