Waimakariri Health Advisory Group
The Waimakariri Health Advisory Group (WHAG) was established in 2004 to address the health needs of the people in the Waimakariri area. The WHAG meets Bi-monthly from February to December on the first Tuesday of the month, 6–7.30pm at the Rangiora Hospital meeting room.

Applications Open: Independent Chairperson
The Waimakariri Health Advisory Group is looking for an independent Chairperson to lead this innovative group. This is a voluntary 3-year appointment.
Their role is to provide advice to the Waimakariri District Council on health issues, to be a forum where health needs are discussed and to progress shared solutions and approaches across the District.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have governance experience
- Have an existing affiliation to the local health sector
- Live/work in the Waimakariri District
- Have existing community networks
- Can and will commit to participation in a bi-monthly meeting, and can actively and effectively communicate with other WHAG representatives; as well as others involved in their area of representation
- Are prepared to participate in project work that may arise.
